Network Transformations : “Business Objectives” come first

Continuing from last week, let us focus this week on the how to build the right strategies for transformations. Today will be just a few simple bullets.

• Business Objectives Come First: Technology is just a means not the ends. Do not get too influenced by newer or better technology if it does not serve the business objectives. Next wave of technology is just around the corner and you can always wait for the technology that aligns with your business objectives.
• Start the Transformation journey by identifying the business objectives: Some examples are “Time to Market”, “Incremental Revenue”, “Lower Cost per Unit”, or “Lower Opex” etc.

If the transformation is not going to serve any of the above objectives then you must shy away from it.
