App Analytics, App Development, Google is everywhere: Kings of disaggregation
February 20, 2019
Continuing from last week, let me just make a quick point this week, Google has not limited itself to helping apps to get more foot prints and make more money through adds. They are having a holistic approach and have expanded to other aspects of app development.
- They are providing free training through their website. They want to help people deliver quality apps on android and web, so they are making sure that there are qualified people who can create these apps.
- They also offer optional certification to developers. The developers can pay for the exam and get certified. They can then use certification to prove credentials and gain projects, making money in the process. Google is thus also providing a way to the developers to differentiate themselves and be valued. They are helping create new sources of employment.
- They also offer analytics for both web and app development. Google analytics is rated among the top 7 mobile app analytics by Yalantis. It covers four key aspects:
- Acquisitions: Track new users. Where your users are coming from and how many sessions they’ve enjoyed or in-app revenue they’ve generated;
- Users: Info about new as well as returning users, their country/language, the app version, etc.;
- Engagement: Reports on speed, crashes, and exceptions.
- Outcomes: you can set up your goal, track the progress.
Well that is what I call continuous evolution based on a holistic approach. Dis-aggregation cannot be successful if you address only a part of it and do not evolve to include new and developing areas. It is tough to stay ahead in this game as new things are unfolding at a great pace. Kudos to various teams that make it happen. I am sure that AI helps but it is the people behind the AI that are making all this happen.
Stay tuned for more next week.
